- Touring Class scooters like the People 250 and Grand Vista 250 can reach speeds of up to 85 MPH and can be safely driven on the interstate. Scooter enthusiasts prefer the touring class models for longer commutes and out-of-town excursions like a ride-out from Atlanta to the North Georgia mountains.
- Crosstown commuters prefer the Commuter Class scooter models to navigate between the close-in suburbs and downtown Atlanta. The 125cc and 150cc engines provide more pick-up on the hills, and these scooters can also maintain speeds as high as 60 MPH. They are not practical to drive long distances on the interstate, but you could comfortably travel a few exits on Intown freeways.
- Intown Rider Class scooters are designed for life inside the Perimeter. The People 50 and the new retro-cool Venice LX 50 are the favorites of Atlanta's Intown hipsters. They are perfect for people with a short commute and for those hopping between the neighborhoods on the weekends. With top speeds of 40-50 MPH, these models can comfortably keep up with Atlanta's busiest street traffic, but they are neither legal nor practical to operate on highways with posted speed limits above 45 MPH.

- No! You can ride out today on an Intown Rider Class scooter. All you need is a valid driver's license (or learner's permit). You don't even need to apply for a tag for 50cc Scooters like the People 50 or the Venice LX. That's one reason they are so popular.
- Higher performing models like the Commuter Class and Touring Class scooters do require that you add a Motorcyle Endorsement to your driver's license and tag. A temporary permit covers you for the first six months, which is plenty of time to schedule and pass the driving test.
- Additional training is available through Moto Bravo’s motor scooter rider training course. Ask a sales representative if a discount coupon for training is available for the model you choose.
